/ Un Letto di Frasche

Un intervento scenografico che colloca nello spazio materiali riportati alla loro essenza. Legno, calce e paglia si accostano silenziosamente all’esuberanza rocambolesca dei quadri dell’artista Giulia Mangoni, accompagnando lo spettatore in un percorso che racconta la memoria legata al territorio Ciociaro.

“Questa serie di dipinti raccontano il paradosso e l’ordinario in momenti di incontro tra questi due estremi; la ruralità, la periferia, le comunità, favoriscono elementi di contatto riassunte in alcune scene e qui rappresentate e mediate dallo sguardo di Giulia. C’è anche un tema a me caro, che è la rappresentazione non del reale ma del vero. Rappresentare il vero vuol dire raccontare anche in maniera romanzata, anche ciò che non ci piace vedere ma che fa parte di un mondo, di una scena.

“Un Letto di Frasche” ci racconta anche questo, una porta aperta sulla vita di Giulia, quella di tutti i giorni, quella che si divide tra la bellezza ed il quotidiano. Credo infine che questa mostra, questi soggetti, debbano far parte di una personale, perché sono realmente molto personali nella loro semplicità” – Valerio Panella

EN /  A scenographic intervention that situates in the space materials restored to their essence. Wood, lime, and straw quietly juxtapose with the exuberant, daring nature of Giulia Mangoni’s paintings, guiding the viewer through a journey that narrates the memory tied to the Ciociaro territory.

“This series of paintings depicts the paradox and the ordinary in moments of encounter between these two extremes; the rurality, the periphery, the communities, fostering elements of contact summarized in some scenes and represented here through Giulia’s gaze. There is also a theme dear to me, which is the representation not of the real but of the true. Representing the true means telling, even in a fictionalized manner, what we do not like to see but which is part of a world, of a scene.

‘Un Letto di Frasche’ tells us about this as well, an open door to Giulia’s life, her everyday life, divided between beauty and the quotidian. I believe that this exhibition, these subjects, should be part of a solo exhibition, because they are truly very personal in their simplicity.” – Valerio Panella
